How an assessment works.
Four steps. No theatrics. We tell you what we are going to do, then we do it, then you receive a report you can act on.
- § 01
Call
First contact, situation triage, scope of inspection. We tell you what we will test, why, and what it will cost. No surprise add ons after we arrive.
What you receive: A confirmed appointment with a written scope.
- § 02
Inspect
Walk through with thermal imaging, moisture meters, particle and CO/CO2 readings. We map findings against your floor plan, photograph every elevated reading, and explain on the spot what we are seeing.
What you receive: Real time observations, calibrated and timestamped.
- § 03
Sample
Where conditions warrant, we collect air or surface samples and ship them to an accredited lab. Chain of custody is documented from the moment a cassette leaves the field kit.
What you receive: Sample IDs, lab routing, expected turnaround.
- § 04
Report
Within five business days, ten if lab work is involved, you receive a written report that an adjuster, an attorney, or a contractor can act on. Plain English next to the technical readings. Recommendations stated as observations, not pressure.
What you receive: A complete written report and supporting media.
“I inspect your home as if my own family was going to live in it. That standard does not move based on who is paying the bill.”

Common questions before the first call.
What does Bluecord actually do?
Bluecord performs independent indoor environmental assessments. That includes water damage assessment, mold testing, indoor air quality testing, moisture mapping, and insurance grade documentation. Bluecord does not perform remediation, which keeps the assessment role independent.
Are you available for emergencies?
We schedule emergency calls within 24 hours across Lowell, Rogers, Bentonville, and Springdale. Fayetteville and Bella Vista are typically 48 hours. Outside NWA we work by appointment.
Do you work with insurance?
Yes. Reports are written to be defensible if challenged. Standards referenced include IICRC S500, IICRC S520, ASTM E2418, and ANSI IICRC S540. If your adjuster wants the methodology, we will explain it directly.
Are you actually veteran owned?
Yes. The owner Ryan Waddell is a US Army Infantry veteran. The Blue Cord is the Infantry shoulder cord awarded after Infantry One Station Unit Training at Fort Benning. The name is the credential.
